Introducing Train Booking
By Maarten Balliauw · Published · Updated
While flights are a quick and efficient way to travel, they're not everyone's first choice. Some speakers might be looking for a more environmentally friendly option, or maybe they simply enjoy the experience of travelling by train. Good news! We've included train bookings on our platform.
Conference organizers can invite their speakers, who can then use our self-service booking platform to find their ideal travel itinerary. Whether your speakers choose to travel by land or air, we've got it covered.
SpeakerTravel supports train booking in 15 European countries. Here's the full list of supported countries and their operators (originally launched with 12 countries in February 2024, expanded in August 2024):

Frequently Asked Questions
Which countries does SpeakerTravel support for train booking?
Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. We cover operators including Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF/TGV, Trenitalia, SBB, NS, and many more.
Can speakers choose between trains and flights?
Yes. If you set both a nearest airport and train station for your event, speakers see both options when they search. They pick what works best for their trip.
Do train bookings work the same way as flights?
Exactly the same flow. Speakers search, select, and request a booking. You approve, and the ticket is issued. Budget limits and auto-approval apply to both modes.
